Pizza Strada & Bar’s Wood Fired Pizza Food Truck!

​We love making you wood fired pizzas at our pizzeria in Dandenong North - but we also love cooking them for your at the location of your choice for your special occasions - we do this with our wood fired pizza food truck service!

Before Pizza Strada & Bar opened, it was just Pizzaioli Daniel and a wood fired pizza food truck - it’s how he first started serving up wood fired pizzas.

He built his first wood fired pizza oven himself: “I was so impatient to do it that I didn’t consult anyone. I didn’t want anyone to say I that it couldn't be done.” He bought fire bricks, refractory cement and perlite and got to work building the wood fired pizza oven on to the back of a trailer. After a week of hard work, the oven was complete!

In September 2017, armed with red gum wood to get the fire started, he took the wood fired pizza oven to its first market: the Mulgrave Farmers Market. From there, he took it around to other popular food markets including those in Mornington, Rhyll, Elwood, St Kilda, Flemington and Rye.

This same wood fired pizza oven now travels to events all over Melbourne to help make special occasions that much more special.
Enjoy the same quality pizzas you know and love from Pizza Strada & Bar with our wood fired pizza catering. We use the same 48-hour dough recipe, the same quality ingredients and we cook the pizzas in 400-degree heat as well!

All of our pizzas are topped with basil-infused extra virgin olive oil and parmesan cheese. With a mix of traditional and modern favourites on our menu, there’s something everyone will enjoy!
