With the outbreak of coronavirus, we wanted to take the time to share with our customers the food safety standards and preventative measures we’re taking at our pizzeria to ensure a safe space.
New government guidelines require us to close to dine-in. This means that until further notice we will only be open for takeaway.
Our team members have been advised to stay home if they experience any of the associated symptoms of coronavirus including cough, shortness of breath and breathing difficulties. Our team members are also required to regularly wash their hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. None of our team have been to any of the affected areas or know someone who has contracted coronavirus.
Our servingware is thoroughly washed by hand before being placed in our industrial dishwasher for sterilisation. To meet health and safety sterilisation standards, our dishwasher is set to 80 degrees and runs for three minutes.
All tables are wiped down with industrial strength bleach diluted to the appropriate concentration to meet all food safety standards. Our tables are wiped before service starts, between customers and at the end of service. Our restroom is thoroughly cleaned with bleach before every day and the door to our restaurant is currently being cleaned before service begins each day.
If all else fails, kill it with fire! Our wood-fire pizzas are cooked in a 400 degree wood fired oven for at least 60 seconds. According to WHO, temperatures of 140°F to 150°F (60-65 degrees celsius) are enough to kill most viruses.
We're watching the situation closely and following the guidelines advised by the Australian government. We will do whatever we can to keep our team and customers safe and reassured.
